What could be better than practicing Karate in the Canadian Rockies?! Doing it with some of the best Instructors in the World!!! (so what if we're biased!!!)
The Alberta Chito Ryu Karate Association welcomes all Chito Ryu Karate practitioners to our annual Higashi Summer Camp. Nestled in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, this three day intensive camp is what Chito Ryu Karate is all about - Train Hard....Play Harder!
ALL Chito Ryu Karateka from ALL organizations are welcome to come and train.
This camp is the embodiment of Isshin - One Heart -One Family. We are all one family in Chito Ryu Karate!
Pre-camp Clinics - 9am-10:00 am Renshi and up; 10:00am-Noon Sandan and up.
Training Schedule -
Friday 1pm - 4pm
Saturday 9am - 12noon; Bag lunch provided
Saturday 1:30pm - 4pm
Sunday 9am - 12noon
Registration - Starts Friday at 1pm. Training starts at 1:30pm.
Kobudo - There may be kobudo clinics throughout the camp so please bring your Sai and Tonfa. If you ware flying with them just put them in your checked luggage. There is no need to bring any Bo as the camp has enough for everyone.
Friday Night Potluck - This will be held at 6:30pm in the Rocky Mountain Ski Lodge Guides Room. There will be appies provided but everyone should bring a side dish to share and your own drinks/meats etc. Ovens and microwaves available and 2 BBQs on site to cook as well. Bring the dishes/cutlery from your rooms with you!
Saturday Lunch - Lunch will be included for all participants of both Saturday sessions.
Saturday Banquet - buffet dinner Chez Francois. $40 for adults and $25 for kids 8-12, $10 for kids 5-7, Free for kids 4 and under. Drinks extra.
Breakfasts - Chez Francois will give us a 15% discount on breakfasts for those who wish to eat there. Just mention you are part of the camp. Here is their website: http://www.restaurantchezfrancois.com/
Registration - Please register and pay in advance online (link attached). This camp is subsidized for all Alberta Chito Ryu members.

- One Adult, Full Camp (with or without kids) - $300 (Alberta) / $320 (Out of Province)

- Kids Full Camp - $35 (Alberta) / $45 (Out of Province)
